360 == art.

Monday, September 25th, 2006

i saw catherine david designs mentioned on cool hunting today, and took a look at some of the pictures of her stuff and saw this:
Jack in the Box
scope the xbox 360 in storage.

(i’m sorry i just wrote “scope the 360″ but for some reason it just felt like the right thing to say)

sunday night yo.

Sunday, September 24th, 2006

sorry, it’s hard to come up with titles to random posts with no point.

my cousin Steven got married, here are a few of the pictures from the photographer, they look really good.
i’m on the left side of the 6th picture down (a.k.a. the one picture that isn’t just of my cousin and his new wife.)

also anna got me a new DS Lite in Navy Blue from el Japan, along with a copy of Japanese New Super Mario Bros. It’s the same as American New Super Mario Bros., except it is harder to read the menus. Also you can’t do multiplayer between them. I gotta get me some games for my DS. In English preferably.

Skittles has some messed up commercials. Like the one with the singing rabbit.

america, you so fat…

thanksgiving at home.

Tuesday, September 19th, 2006

i’m heading back to michigan for thanksgiving, i’ll be there from saturday night until friday afternoon.
we should totally hang out.

pcked up the new citizen cope album (every waking moment) over the weekend. i don’t like it quite as much as his previous album (the clarence greenwood recordings) but it’s pretty good. i don’t know why but it seemed like some of the songs were just redoing previous songs, complete with reusing lyrics and melodies… but not quite. anyway, it’s still a good album.

the internet makes me angry. music makes me happy.

i should maybe have titled this post, “stupid people make me angry.”
i don’t really want to have my blog filled with angry reactions to the idiotic things people write about in their blogs. i’ll just go ahead and say that joystiq is a pretty low-class blog that constantly oversensationalizes stories to draw attention and increase their precious hit counter.
i think i should stop reading all blogs. the stupidity just makes me more cynical and angry. i used to be much more calm.

In other news, Muse rocks. I picked up their CD Black Holes and Revelations last week and i can’t put it down. by which I mean, I am listening to it often. I’ve got tickets to see them at the Paramount on October 4th.
I also just bought tickets for Wolfmother at the Moore, December 3rd. I saw Wolfmother at EndFest, and they only played for a half hour or so, but they were really good; a full set from them will be sweet.

looking forward to those two concerts.

Tenacious D!!!

Tuesday, September 5th, 2006

Tenacious D is going to be touring soon. I don’t know when or where exactly, but they just announced some UK dates so the US dates shouldn’t be far behind, I’d think. I saw the D a few years back when they were at the Paramount and they were great, I’m definitely going to catch them again next time they’re here.

bumbershoot was this weekend, had a pretty good time, though it’s starting to not seem as cool as it did when i first went. It’s nice having my home just a few blocks away since i can head home and eat something good instead of the not so good fair-food. i saw a bunch of bands, took a few pictures but nothing remarkable really. it was nice to have the extra day off, though i’ve got a ton of work to do.
