wolfmother rocks.
wolfmother just put on an awesome show at the moore theater. they played all of their songs from their album - except the song with the flute - along with a cover of Led Zeppelin’s Communication Breakdown, which is a great song for them to cover, since they’re essentially led zepplin of the… 2000s? ’00s?. their encore was perfect, Colossal, Communication Breakdown, and The Joker & The Thief.
The bassist/keyboardist is great, he plays the keyboard like he’s wrestling it, throwing it all over the place and knocking it on its side (while still playing). at one point he jumped off the drum stand and slammed his hands down on it perfectly in time with the song, and later he vaulted over the keyboard, again while still playing, it was great. meanwhile the lead guitar/singer has the hugest white guy afro i’ve ever seen. it had to be at least 6 inches off his head, and perfectly shaped. also he rocks hard.
wolfmother is good.

I’ve been listening to Wolfmother some recently. I like them. Why do you say they are essentially led zepplin of the 00s?

their music sounds a lot like old hard rock from the 60’s, reminiscent of led zeppelin. it’s a good thing to be the new led zeppelin. i think if led zeppelin were playing music today, it would sound something like wolfmother.
