new phone!
i finally retired my sanyo scp-4500 and upgraded to the sanyo rl-4920. it’s all shiny and fancy looking, except now i have to go through the old phone and put all the numbers on the new phone, which is a pain in the ass.
but now i have access to: annoying ringers, text messaging, surfing porn on a 2 inch screen, all that good stuff.
but really, it’s got better signal than my phone, which was already pretty good, good battery life (5.5 hours talk time, mine had around 2), plus i can actually send text messages easily, which isn’t that revolutionary, but comes in handy, especially when i get them from friends.
I think I do have to download a new ringer though, the ones that come with the phone are pretty bad.

I just got this phone myself - so far, so good. Are you satisfied with it thus far?

Yeah, I think it’s a really good phone. about the only complaint I have is that for 3-way calls, you can’t use the speed dial shortcuts, not sure why.
also i miss the standard ring i used before, but that’s a really minor thing.
Reception is good, nice interface and menus - not too confusing. It’s definitely loud enough (maybe a bit too loud, even on the quietest setting). I like being able to text message, though that’s not really specific to this phone. I also like the low volume + vibrate ringer option, that’s nice.

oh yeah, the talk time is ridiculous. I think i was on the phone with my brother for over 6 hours off a fresh charge on sunday without having to plug in the phone.
The real question is, why was I on the phone with my brother for 6 hours?
